| | Collection within the 1/2 pass (4th Apr 08 at 4:27am UTC) | | I like to mix things up when riding and rarely do a full H/P from one end of the arena to the other.
My favorite is H/P to 1/4 pirouette to L/Y then straight. I will mix up any of the above in any order. I pretty much have my horse able to respond to any tiny imperdeptions of requests. the half halt, well I require very little so use it when necessary. I am very big on the use of turns to collect the horse more naturally ( meaning using the horse's need to re balance himself..thus collect, to make a turn without falling in or out
What does anyone else do to maintain activity balance and colection within the half pass? | |
